Customers with 33.6 or slower modems will not get any performance increase by using this connection. Customers with V.90 compatible modems may see increased performance or connection stability when using the digital lines.
Connecting to our digital modem bank requires dialing into a new phone number. There are two ways to reconfigure your Windows 95/98 computer for this new service. We recommend using the TEIN Connection Manager. If you are already using the connection manager you will need to download and setup the new version. You are using the Connection manager if you have an icon like the one below on you desktop.
1. Using Connection Manager
Download and install the latest version of the TEIN Connection Manager. After downloading the file double click on it to install TEIN. After installing the Connection Manager double click on the TEIN icon on your desktop. If additional files are required insert you Windows 95/98 CD and continue as instructed. Restart the computer in necessary. once you get the TEIN Sign on screen click settings. click the top phone book button, select TEIN 56K, click ok. click the bottom phone book button select TEIN 33.6 click OK. click OK, enter your username and password in the appropriate boxes and click connect. Your computer should connect to the digital lines unless they are full in which case it will redial to the analog lines.

2. Changing DUN Phone Number
You can change the phone number in your Dial-Up Networking settings from 538-3357 to 538-6415. Double click my computer, double click Dial-Up Networking. Right click on TEIN, select properties. Change the phone number from 538-3357 to 538-6415.
