How to configure TEIN Connection Manager

Click the TEIN Network icon to start the Connection Manager.

Click on the Properties button. (On older versions this button may be labeled Settings)

Click the top Phone Book button.

Select a phone number from the Access list and click OK

Click the lower Phone Book button and select a backup phone number.

If your phone numbers look like this, without showing the area code click OK and skip to step 10

If your phone numbers show the area code, check the box labeled "Use dialing rules". (Older versions will need any checks removed from the box labeled "Dial as long distance")

If your phone numbers have a "1 406" at the begining click on the Dialing rules button. (In older versions the button may be labeled "Dialing Properties")

Enter 406 in the box labeled Area Code. Click OK when the “number to be dialed” at the bottom of the window looks correct.
Note- If you have call waiting you may check the box to disable it, set the box to the right to *70. This will prevent incoming calls from disconnecting you while on the Internet.

Enter Your Username an Password and click Connect. (remember usernames are all lower case and do not have @tein.net at the end)
You may check Save Password to avoid having to enter it each time. You may check Connect Automatically to avoid having to press the connect button each time. We recommend waiting until a successful connection has been made before checking Connect Automatically.
